• Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh launched the web portal of the Solan fruit and vegetable market, making it the first online retail vegetable market in the country. The Chief Minister said two vegetable and fruit markets in Solan and Shimla had been linked with the National Vegetable Market Portal.
• Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh laid the foundation stone of Rs 4.36 crore Solan multipurpose cultural centre at Kothon village. The centre will house an auditorium and an open stage for cultural activities.
• Anju Bala, a school lectures, became the first woman to pay obeisance on the threshold of sacred cave of at Baba Balak Nath temple at Deotsidh.
• The Shimla Municipal Corporation has sought the extension for the Rs 7 crore European Union (EU) sanitation project for six months. The SMC can prepare the City Sanitation Plan (CSP) only for Shimla while it has failed to prepare it for Mandi, Nahan, Hamirpur and Dharamsala.
