Kangra first ever district to geo-tag
all assets under MGNREGA
Kangra has become the first district in
the country to geo-tag 100 per cent of the assets generated under the MGNREGA
despite Kangra being the largest district of the state. The geo-tagging of
assets under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA)
is being done as to ensure online recording of the assets generated under the
welfare programme.
ADB to fund Kangra Amusement Park
The Tourism Department will set up an
amusement park on Zamanabad road in Kangra. The park will be established on 1.9
acres belonging to the Bajjreshwari Temple Trust. The area is popularly known
as ‘Mata ka Bagh’. The project will be funded by the Asian Development Bank.
The contract for the project had been awarded to MCC Power Projects Private
Limited and work would be completed within two years.
Kullu district second worst affected
by TB in India
Kullu district, followed by Mandi and
Solan, is among the top 50 districts which have most TB patients. The high
number of patients has taken the district to the number two slot in the
country. The health authority will launch a campaign.......
