PCS PRELIMS - PAPER 2 - SYLLABUS , ANALYSIS , BOOKS LIST

PCS Preliminary Exam General Studies Paper-II is popularly known as CSAT. General Studies Paper-II is also for 200 marks like the General Studies Paper-I of PCS Prelims Exam. Paper-II is comparatively easier and high-scoring than General Studies Paper-I. This paper shall be of 200 marks and in this paper there shall be 80 objective type (Multiple choices) questions.

Syllabus of Paper-II (CSAT)
  • Reading comprehension; Punjabi and English language comprehension, antonyms and synonyms, grammar and sentence formation.
  • Interpersonal skills including communication skills.
  • Logical reasoning, analytical and mental ability.
  • Basic numerical skills; numbers, magnitudes, percentages, numerical relation appreciation.
  • Data analysis; Graphic presentations, charts, tables, spreadsheets.

PCS Paper-II (CSAT) Exam being more practice oriented, it’s always better to select books with quality problems. Paper-II (CSAT) contains 80 questions and indeed it is a lengthy paper and one need to focus on speed and error-free calculations.
